Desert Half Iron Triathlon Results

Vernon’s Nathan Champness used the top bike ride of 2:26:06 to establish a 3:12 lead heading onto the run. His final run of 1:23:53 allowed him to maintain the lead and capture the Desert Half Iron title (4:20:25). Dallas Cain of Rossland placed second (4:23:29), and Vancouver’s Ynuk Bosse finished third in 4:27:26.

Vancouver’s Christine Fletcher led right from the start and just kept getting further away from her pursuers. She began with a race best 29:16 swim, added a 3:14:24 bike, and ran 1:34:59 for the commanding victory (4:50:25). Calgary’s Jennifer Mansell finished second (5:02:37), and Michelle Milot ran herself into third (5:04:48).
