Deboom and Granger victorious in Hawaii

Croft is the top Canuck.

American Tim Deboom and Australian Belinda Granger won the Ironman 70.3 Hawaii titles today at the Kohala Coast, Hawaii.

Deboom swam 25:39, biked 2:15:23, and ran 1:19:47 to take a come from behind win (4:04:02) over Australian Luke Bell (4:05:29). While, Granger swam 27:54, hammered the women’s field with a race best 2:31:10 bike, and coasted in with a 1:31:41 run to take the win (4:34:38) over Hawaii’s Bree Wee (4:40:13). Calgary’s Sheila Croft was sixth overall (4:50:23) and placed second in the women’s 35-39 age category.
