Penticton’s David Matheson was the fastest Canadian at last weekend’s Ironman Florida with a 9:08:56 clocking.

However, this past summer at the beginning of August, Matheson rocked it at the Ultraman distance (10 km swim, 420.2 km bike, 84.4 km run).

As reported on August 6, Matheson ran the third day final leg 84.4 km run in 7:04:13 to capture the 2013 Ultraman Canada title in a new course record time of 21:47:47, beating the previous record held by Kevin Cutjar (21:49:45) set in 2010.

Take a look at the following video of David’s epic three days with his crew at the Ultraman Canada victory.
