Corbin and Fontana win Ironman 70.3 Pucon
Race turned into a duathlon.
Today’s Ironman 70.3 Pucon triathlon ended up being a duathlon due to storms that brought heavy rain and high wind to Chile.
Despite the adverse conditions, Argentina’s Daniel Fontana and USA’s Linsey Corbin captured wins in the 5 km run, 90 km bike, and 21.1 km run duathlon.
Fontana crossed the line in 3:52:59, just ahead of last year’s winner Reinaldo Colucci (3:56:24). Corbin claimed the women’s victory in 4:15:42.
