Challenge Family Race Series Gets its Third US Race in Ohio

The Challenge Family Race Series announces its newest race and its third US event with the launch of Challenge New Albany, located in New Albany, Ohio on July 26-27. The family-focused race weekend begins on Saturday, July 26 with a Junior Challenge Kidz Triathlon and the Challenge Women’s Triathlon all in downtown New Albany, Ohio. On Sunday, the Challenge Half and Olympic distance races will take place.

The Midwestern city of New Albany is just ten minutes from Port Columbus International Airport and features abundant parkland, world-class golf courses and numerous waterway.  It is also has a fast-developing arts and culture scene.

The point-to-point course that starts at Alum Creek State Park and finishes in downtown New Albany. Athletes will  swim in the calm waters of Alum Creek Lake and ride the relatively flat (with a few rolling hills) bike course through eastern Delaware County, Sunbury. Most of  the run will be on leisure trails. General entries of the inaugural Challenge New Albany on July 26-27, 2014 opened yesterday at www.challenge-newalbany.com.
