CNN features Tim Don: “The Man with the Halo”

A year ago, Tim Don (GBR) ran the Boston Marathon less than six months after breaking his neck. He completed the race in 2:49:42. Then, on October 13th, 2019 – a year after his devasting crash – Don returned to the Big Island of Hawaii and finished the Ironman World Championship in 8:45:17.

A year after his return to competitive racing at the 2018 Boston Marathon, CNN made a Turning Points feature on him.

Don opened his 2019 season at Ironman South Africa, but had to withdraw due to a mechanical. He will be back in action April 21st at the Cannes International Triathlon. In Cannes, France, Don is expected to go up against Cam Wurf, Tyler Butterfield and several European professionals.
