Canadian Age Groupers at Ironman 70.3 Texas
Wins by Gord Wyper and Udo Buechner.
Surrey’s Gord Wyper came from well behind (48:30 – 12th), rode up to fifth (2:44:58), and ran a category best 1:45:43 to win by 44 seconds (5:27:20) in the men’s 60-64 division.
Udo Buechner of Dollard-Des Ormeaux, Quebec took to the lead with a 39:33 swim, and stayed in front with a 3:22:28 bike, and 3:26:27 run to take the 7:42:29 men’s 70-74 age group win by 7:27.
