Age group championship wins for Eugenie Caron Pare and Harry Barnes.
Eugenie Caron Pare, 25, of Quebec swam 28:55, biked 2:37:11, and ran a category best 1:42:12 half marathon to win the women 25-29 age group by just 5 seconds in a final time of 4:53:02.
Harry Barnes, 67, of Trinity Bight, Newfoundland posted category bests in all segments (40:17 swim, 2:46:53 bike, and 1:52:52 run) to finish in 5:27:50 and win the men’s 65-59 age group by over one hour and twenty minutes.
