Americans Ben Hoffman and Elizabeth Lyles rose to the top of the podium at the 11th Ironman Wisconsin.
After exiting Lake Monona in third, Hoffman rode a bike course record 4:37:58, and ran 2:56:34 to set a new overall course record on his way to a 8:32:51 victory.
Lyles, the mother of two who turned pro in August, started her day fourth out of the water (6 minutes down to Hillary Biscay), then rode up to second (this time 11:35 back to Kathleen Calkins), but she used a course record setting marathon of 2:59:34 to notch her first career Ironman win in 9:34:35.
