A week after winning his first international title at the Europe Triathlon Junior Cup Tiszaujvaros (Hungary), Quebec’s Mathis Beaulieu once again used his impressive running skills to take another event in the series, this time in Tabor, Czech Republic. Beaulieu was the only Canadian in the field and won the race in 58:26.

“This feels absolutely awesome,” said Beaulieu. “I’m so thankful for this opportunity to race in Europe and happy with my performances. The bike was so brutal with all of the hills and technical section. At first, I didn’t feel very good, but I kept my pace and managed to get the win. My coach has done a really good job this year with my run. This work is what I attribute my success to this season.”

It has been a great three-week stretch for Beaulieu, who won the Canadian championship, then followed that up with the win in Tiszaujvaros. He’ll next race in Niagara Falls as part of the Quebec team at the Canada Games.
