Age groups wins for Pady, Frost, Macpherson and Knuckey at Ironman Arizona

Richard Pady, Tony Frost, and Murray Macpherson, and Bob Knuckey all won their respective age group categories at this past weekend’s Ironman Arizona.

Pady, whose last Ironman race was in 2009 at the Ironman World Championship, had his fastest Ironman clocking to date. The Mono, Ontario native swam 55:07, biked 4:51:18, and ran 3:16:07 to capture the men’s 35-39 category in 9:08:51.

Frost, dominated the men’s 50-54 division. He swam 55:09, biked 4:52:49, and his category best marathon of 3:27:50 allowed him to stop the clock at 9:20:58 to win by over 22 minutes.

Murray Macpherson, also crushed the men’s 60-64 division with a 25 minute margin of victory. The Calgary native swam 1:19:24, biked and 5:11:40, and ran a category best 3:40:40 marathon to finished in 10:27:32.

Even more impressive was Alton, Ontario’s Bob Knuckey. He swam 1:13:31, biked 5:11:54, and ran 4:09:58 to finish in 10:44:09! He was the only one in the men’s 65-69 category to go sub-11 hours, and he won the category by over one hour!
