30th Escape from Alcatraz

Kemper and Cave win.

For Hunter Kemper (USA) and Leanda Cave (GBR), it was simply a matter of having the best runs of the day that propelled them to their victories at the 30^th Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon.

Kemper swam the 1.5 mile course in 22:56, biked 18 miles in 46:39, and ran 8 miles in 44:14. While Cave swam 24:57, biked 52:01, and ran 52:07.

Cave also won in 2007 and 2008 (interrupted by Mary Beth Ellis last year), while Kemper won in 2005.
