Ironman 70.3 Switzerland

Today was a day of total domination by the winners of Ironman 70.3 Switzerland. Germany’s Michael Raelert led from wire to wire, posting the top splits in all segments (24:17 swim, 2:08:12 bike, and 1:12:57 run) to finish in 3:47:47. It was almost the same for Switzerland’s Caroline Steffen. She too led from start to finish, but Karin Thurig’s (SUI) top bike split (2:21:52), spoiled her chance to duplicate Raelert’s feat.
