2013 ETU Long Distance Triathlon Championship awarded to Challenge Vichy
Challenge Barcelona awarded the 2013 ETU Half Iron Distance Championships.
The President of the European Triathlon Union, Mr Renato Bertrandi, officially announced at a press conference at Challenge Roth that the 2013 European Championship ETU Long Distance Triathlon will take place at Challenge Vichy on August 18, 2013.
“We are extremely proud to host the European Championships at the third edition of Challenge Vichy. This proves from the beginning we set the bar very high in terms of quality organization with the city of Vichy, all other communities and our valued volunteers. In August, we will show European triathletes that we are part of the biggest races in global organizational and the European Championships will be an event not to miss in 2013,” said Gael Mainard race director of  Challenge Vichy. “If some are still hesitant about 2013, they can still enter Challenge Vichy or Vichy Half Triathlon  in August 2012 as a test run for the European Championships next year”.
Also note that Challenge Barcelona was awarded the 2013 ETU European Championships Half Distance.
