Hunt’s new 5AM Limitless wheels built for speed and stability
A lightweight wheelset designed for races or going quick in training
On Thursday, Hunt unveiled the 5AM Limitless Ti_UD Carbon Spoke Wheelset. The new hoops are built for speed, control and efficiency in racing or training conditions.
The setup pairs a 58mm-deep front rim with a 55mm rear rim that is made for low weight and power transfer.
Plus, the Vonoa Ti_UD carbon spokes reduce rotational drag and boost responsiveness. The total system weighs just 1212 grams. It’s aimed at racing, or your fast training rides (they might even be at 5 a.m.)
According to Hunt, the 5AM Limitless wheels were developed through Hunt’s five-stage aero process.
They began with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations to analyze thousands of rim shapes.
Then they moved through wheel-only and full bike-plus-rider wind tunnel testing. The tests finished up outdoor sensor-based validation. Every stage was designed to ensure that aerodynamic gains translate into going quick.

– Front rim depth and patented Limitless Width Aero Technology keep airflow attached at high yaw angles for stable handling.

– Reduced spoke count, internal nipples, and 1.7g Vonoa Ti_UD carbon spokes cut rotational drag and sharpen responsiveness.

Comparisons to competitors
According to Hunt, wind tunnel tests show a 4.35-watt advantage over ENVE 4.5 Pro, while outdoor testing shows up to 8.5 watts over Zipp 404 Firecrest.
Low-density polymer in the front rim sidewalls widens the shape without adding weight, improving airflow and stability.
They are built from a blend of T700, T800, and T1000 UD carbon fibres reinforced with Mitsubishi Pyrofil HR4012M. The 5AM Limitless wheels offer strength, durability and low weight. The CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminium hubs deliver fast engagement, slim aerodynamics, and easy maintenance, while hybrid-ceramic bearings promise smooth, long-lasting rotation.
