Factor introduced a new bike to the world, releasing the all-new SLiCK. This triathlon-dedicated bike is a phenomenal ride that will help any and all triathletes who use it fly from T1 to T2. The SLiCK takes the speed and aerodynamics of Factor’s track and time trial bikes and packages it all in a ride built for triathletes. Starting at C$6,699, when you buy the Factor SLiCK, what you’re really purchasing is speed.

Made for triathlon

Factor has had success in triathlon before introducing the SLiCK, with professionals like Beth Potter (2023 world champion and Olympic bronze medallist) and Rudy Von Berg (third place in Kona in 2024) riding the British company’s bikes. The SLiCK will only help Factor continue to grow as a fixture in the triathlon world. Factor engineers used all the knowledge they’ve gathered from designing road, track, and time trial super bikes and applied it to the SLiCK, a ride that they have looked at through a triathlon lens.

The SLiCK has in-frame storage on the bike’s top tube, with a Bento box and a hydration reservoir so you can easily access nutrition while on the ride in training or on race day. There is additional storage on the bike’s down tube, where you’ll find a zipper-shut bag that Factor includes to prevent anything from bouncing around within the frame while you ride. This is a perfect spot for tools (or extra nutrition).

The frame weighs in at 1,100 grams, a wildly lightweight build for a triathlon bike. Pair that featherweight design with the SLiCK’s remarkable aerodynamics, and you have a ride that will cut through the air, float up hills, and fly along any race course. The team at Factor says that the new SLiCK is 12 per cent faster than its predecessor.

How much for SLiCK speed?

For the frame alone, the SLiCK costs C$6,699. The next step up is C$9,649, and it features Black Inc wheels and a SRAM Force AXS groupset with a power meter. From there, you can add more and more sophisticated wheels and groupsets, all the way up to the top-of-the-line SLiCK for C$13,949, which comes equipped with SRAM Red AXS.
