Introducing the unstealable bike

Three engineering students at Chile’s University of Adolfo Ibáñez have created Project Yerka’s, a bike that can’t be stolen.  After having been victims of bike theft  themselves Andrés Roi, Cristóbal Cabello and Juan José Monsalve decided to take things into their own hands and combat future theft.

With a remarkably simple but ingenious design, the frame disassembles to double as a lock by attaching it to the removable seatpost. The only way to steal this bicycle is to break its frame.
