Oakley Radar Pace

$570 Anyone remember Oakley’s Thump glasses that played music while you ran? Oakley has taken that concept oh so much further with the release of the Radar Pace, which provides a real-time, voice activated coaching and workout monitoring system that gives you all the information you want during a workout by simply asking a question. Developed with Intel, all you have to do is ask “what’s my heartrate,” for example, and you’ll have the answer through the comfy earplugs in a jiffy. Its hard to believe that the frames are as light as they are considering all the stuff inside – removable earphones, three microphones, an accelerometer, gyroscope, humidity sensor and even a barometer, all of which can measure and guide your performance.

There’s even a special wind block that you can put on for biking, making this a viable option for riding, too. (Especially those who can never see their computer screen because they don’t have their reading glasses.) The Radar Pace pair with heart rate monitors, foot pods, power meters and other sensors through Bluetooth or ANT+.
