Why you should do an indoor triathlon
It's a great opportunity to race in the winter and suffer with some friends

I’ve raced at least one indoor triathlon a year for the past three years, and that trend is going to continue in 2019. I love indoor triathlons because it’s a great opportunity to race in the winter and suffer with some friends. You don’t need to be competitive, or even ever have done a triathlon to compete.
Indoor triathlons tend to consist of a pool swim, riding a stationary bike, and running on a treadmill or track. They’re usually time-based, so you just cover as much distance as you’re able to. It can be a great introduction to the sport if you’ve never done one, and I think you should check it out.
Triathlon Ontario has a series in 2019, but if you’re not in Ontario I recommend you check out your local gym or tri club.
