UPDATE on Terenzo Bozzone’s injuries

Professional triathlete in hospital with serious injuries

Terenzo Bozzone was hit by a truck at 2 pm local time on June 3rd in Kumeu, New Zealand. Currently, Bozzone is in stable condition and recovering from the facial and head injuries sustained.

Auckland police are currently making inquiries.

Bozzone is a 33-year-old champion triathlete with multiple world titles to his name, including four junior world titles and the 2008 Ironman 70.3 World Championship. Bozzone has over 20 Ironman 70.3 victories and won Ironman New Zealand this year in a record time of 7:59:56. Bozzone has been on form for much last year and this year, recently finishing 3rd at the Ironman Asia Pacific Championship, and is considered a top contender for this year’s Ironman World Championship in Kona.
