Magali Tisseyre earned her first Ironman podium yesterday, taking third at the first-ever Ironman Mar Del Plata in Argentina. The Mont-Tremblant athlete has started four Ironmans this year — Brazil, Frankfurt and Mont-Tremblant before Argentina — in her quest to qualify Kona. Though she narrowly missed out on enough points this year, this result sets her up early and well for next year.
Tisseyre clocked 9:24:37 to finish behind winner Sarah Piampiano and runner-up Tine Deckers. Her 3;07:42 marathon was the fastest of the day.
