Canadaman/Canadawoman, the new extreme triathlon taking place in Lac-Megantic, Quebec this summer which sold out in just days, has added a sprint distance race in the same location. For the many triathletes who were disappointed to have not grabbed a spot before the inaugural full distance race sold out, the new sprint distance offers the chance to race in the same stunning location but in a shorter format — meaning you can easily fit it into the rest of your season.

In a press release yesterday from the race directors, they announced, “Endurance Aventure is offering the CanadaMan/Woman SPRINT Triathlon. On July 8, come to take part in a new type of triathlon; the little brother of the CanadaMan/Woman XTREME Tri that will take place on the morning after.” According to the registration site, there are now just 10 spots left for the sprint race.

Highlights of the sprint race

  • 750 m swim in the Mégantic Lake starting from the beautiful Baie-des-Sables
  • 20 km biking on road with a challenging vertical drop
  • 5 km trail running with some sections on wonderful single tracks and an exceptional point of vue at the arrival, on the Mégatic Lake shores. Yes, trail running for a triathlon! Let’s live the adventure!
