Having started his long distance career 18 years ago at Challenge Roth, it was fitting that the 2017 event would be Timo Bracht's final long event. An incredible effort and passion Timo finished 4th.

The new Challenge run course, while filled with spectators and more shaded than the old course also had a lot of rolling hills and turns as the course left the village of Roth.

Bart Arnouts had a consistent race moving up steadily throughout the day - at 15 km he was in 3rd overall and on the move.
