PHOTOS: Jordan Bryden and Amy Van Tassel win Ultra 520K Canada

Jordan Bryden and Amy VanTassel clocked the fastest times over the course of the weekend to win Ultra 520K Canada, the longest distance triathlon in the country. The event began on August 5th and finished yesterday, August 7th. Over the course of the three days, athletes swim 10 km, bike 425.6 km and run 84.4 km. The event in an invitation-only race and qualifies athletes for the Ultraman World Championships.

Bryden is a Calgary-based pro who regularly competes in Ironman races while also working full time as a graphic designer and photographer. Ultra520K Canada was his first crack at the ultra distance. He will be representing Canada as part of the elite squad racing the ITU Long Course World Championship in Penticton, B.C. later this month.

VanTassel is a long course triathlete who holds the Ultraman Canada run course record and has has raced at the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.
