New Year’s greetings from the pros

The pros hit the new year running (and biking, and skiing) with some interesting New Year's social media posts.

Did somebody say go? The Instagram posts with shots of some of the world’s fittest athletes suddenly seemed to come cascading through my feed a few days before the end of 2019 – and they haven’t slowed down at all now that we’re two days into 2020. A few of our favourites to start the year:

Anyone else struggle to imagine a time when Lionel Sanders wasn’t training hard?

The always-positive, always-smiling Michelle Vesterby has an interesting take on the resolution game.

Lucy Charles-Barclay keeps trying to say that she hasn’t done much training since Kona – not sure if we can believe that, especially when she hits a Park Run to start her year off.

Jan Frodeno seems to have this holiday thing worked out!

Now this is how you combine a great message with a perfectly appropriate photo!

Great champions have great attitudes. Daniela Ryf is living proof.

Couldn’t help but post a couple of Paula Findlay’s Instagram posts – love those photos, Eric Lagerstrom!

Tyler Mislawchuk shared a heartfelt message that wraps up a stellar 2019 in style.

Flora Duffy’s post says a lot within just a few words … Tokyo, here she comes.

Patrick Lange just had to rub in the fact that he can enjoy the best of all winter worlds in Salzburg …

After another super-successful year, the Bahrain Endurance 13 team is hungry for more in 2020.

OK, does she have to be so damn good at everything? I guess when you’re a former NCAA hockey star you should be able to skate-ski. Go Heather Jackson!

The picture says it all. Yeah, it was a pretty awesome year, Ben. Congrats.
