Matt Sharpe wins Aquathlon World Championship

A second elite Canadian triathlete has won a world championship title at the ITU Multisport World Championship Festival in Penticton, B.C.
National team triathlete Matt Sharpe clocked 29:55 to win the aquathlon title this morning, finishing about 15 seconds faster than runner-up Canadian John Rasmussen and third place finisher Brennen Smith. Sharpe clocked 13:04 for the 1 km swim and 16:06 for the 5 km run.
