Ironman announces 2020 Facebook Watch Schedule
Live event coverage of Ironman events will continue on Facebook Watch in 2020.
Ironman will feature live coverage of 19 events through the Ironman Now Facebook page this year, including Ironman Canada in Penticton.
According to a press release from Ironman today, over 5.3 million people have tuned into Ironman races for at least one minute of the company’s live event broadcasts on Facebook. Now entering its third year of the partnership, Ironman will stream 19 events this year, up from the 17 last year and 15 the year before.
Triathlon fans can tune into the Ironman Now Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/IRONMANnow.
Included on the 2020 schedule is Ironman Canada, which returns to Penticton after a seven-year stretch in Whistler. The Ironman Now Facebook Watch schedule kicks off with Ironman New Zealand on March 7 and ends back in Taupo for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship.
This year’s Kona coverage will once again be the most extensive, with 20 hours of race day coverage scheduled.
The hosts of the live event coverage will be former Ironman world champions Greg Welch and Paula Newby-Fraser, along with Dede Griesbauer, Matt Lieto and Michael Lovato.
