Ironman adds another event to the North American 70.3 schedule in Maple Valley, Washington.

The Ironman expansion continues for 2020 – after a number of new race announcements in Europe over the last few weeks, the company announces Ironman 70.3 Washington – Maple Valley, which will take place on Sept. 20, 2020.

Located 30 minutes east of Seattle, Maple Valley is one of the fastest growing population areas in Washington State. The race begins with a 1.9 km swim in Lake Wilderness Park, with views of Mount Rainier as a backdrop. The 90 km bike course takes in the rural area of King County before returning to Lake Wilderness Park for the 21 km run.
The race will offer 40 age-group qualifying slots for the 2021 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in St. George, Utah.
