How to watch Ironman Florida live

Don't miss the exciting action from Panama City Beach this weekend.

Panama City Beach, Florida.

Ironman Florida, one of the oldest Ironman events on the U.S. mainland, returns to Panama City Beach and has a pro field for the first time since 2014. You can watch the race live on Facebook.com/IRONMAN now or on Facebook Watch.

The live coverage will be hosted by Matt Lieto and Greg Welch and starts at 6:20 AM local time. (7:20 AM Eastern, 4:20 AM Pacific.)

Started in 1999 as part of Ironman’s major expansion around the world, Ironman Florida became just the third North American full-distance qualifying event for the world championship in Kona after Ironman Canada and Ironman Lake Placid. Other than last year, the event has always taken place in Panama City Beach. It is one of the most popular Ironman races thanks to its easy access to athletes from the Eastern Seaboard, it’s affordable accommodations and the spectacular white sand beaches that make Panama City Beach a popular tourist destination.

The course consists of a two-loop, 3.8 km swim, a one-loop 180 km bike and a two-loop 42.2 km run.

Last year’s race had to be moved because of Hurricane Michael and the race was moved to Haines City, the site of Ironman 70.3 Florida. The race returns to Panama City Beach this year, though, and also has a professional men’s field set to compete for $50,000 and two spots for next year’s Ironman World Championship.

The men’s field includes five Canadian pros.
