This weeks vlog is about the Surf City Marathon. I recorded my thoughts before, and then immediately after the race.  My goal was to run 2:48.  This was my goal the last time I went after a marathon in Chicago in 2014.  When I ran my first marathon in 2012 in 4:47 I couldn’t imagine running a single kilometer in 4-minutes, so it’s been a goal of mine to run a marathon at that pace.  I didn’t have big mileage leading into the race, but I was getting in good speed workouts and long runs, and my tempo runs were going pretty well.  I felt confident about my chances, but ultimately fell short.
