Canada’s 2017-2018 New Year’s races

A list of New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day races across the country.

The new year is upon us and there are few better ways to bring in 2018 than with a run.

Across Canada, there are a number of events taking place on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. The most popular of the events is the Resolution Run, hosted by the Running Room, which take place across the country on various dates, from Dec. 30-31, depending on the location.

Some runners will use the New Year’s races as a pre-cursor to their 2018 celebrations while others may use Jan. 1 to run off the effects of the previous night’s festivities.

Below are a selection of New Year’s Eve/Day-themed races, in chronological order. Most of the events have a walking registration slot.
