If you were disappointed to not grab your spot for next year’s Canada Man/Canada Woman race in beautiful Lac Megantic, Quebec after registration sold out in just four days, you’re in luck. The new race has opened up 23 lottery spots for the race, with two special charity spots which include accommodations in addition to a race entry. To be eligible for one of these charity spots, you must demonstrate social contribution to your community.

Canada Man joins the ranks of Norseman and Celtman as an “extreme” triathlon — a full distance, point-to-point race with gruelling elevation gain. Athletes have until midnight to make it to the top of Mont Megantic and its observatory with stunning views of the stars.

So far, an international roster of 100 athletes entered for the race and its accompanying sprint and relay options include many Canadians and Americans as well as triathletes from Argentina, Réunion Island and Ecuador.

TMC will be at Canadaman’s debut race on July 9th next summer. Check back here on the website for all the latest news on this exciting new race.
