Ben Kanute and Ashleigh Gentle join Bahrain Endurance 13

Two of the best young pros in triathlon currently, the 2017 Ironman 70.3 World Champs runner-up (Kanute) and 2017 ITU Series runner-up (Gentle) have been named to the prestigious team

Bahrain Endurance 13 team made an announcement yesterday that Olympians Ben Kanute (USA) and Ashleigh Gentle (AUS) have joined the team this year. The team, which began in 2015, has achieved 11 world titles collectively since then and boasts some of the top names in the sport including Daniela Ryf, Jan Frodeno, Javier Gomez and Alistair Brownlee. Both Gentle and Kanute race multiple formats of triathlon including Mixed Relay, ITU and 70.3 and have seen podium success on the world stage.

Switzerland’s Caroline Steffen and Malaysia’s Fredrik Croneborg are not returning to the team this year but the rest of the squad remains the same. His Highness Sheikh Nassar qualified for Kona in December 2017 and will for the first time be joining his Ironman-focused teammates such as Frodeno and Ryf at the Ironman World Championships this year.
