Ironman Japan cancelled

Foot-and-Mouth Disease to blame.

Set to take place on Sunday June 13, 2010 in Nagasaki, the 2010 edition of Ironman Japan has been cancelled.

An outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in the southern islands of Japan caused the local Goto government to cancel the race in order to protect the area’s valuable agricultural industry.
