Video: Cody Beals on life as a professional triathlete

Ever wondered what it takes to make it as a professional triathlete? In our second video with Cody Beals, we sit down with him for an in-depth interview on life as a pro. Beals covers everything from overtraining and overcoming illness in his early days to the financial realities of the sport, choosing a coach and nutrition.

He also talks about his short term and long term racing goals. What can we expect to see from him next?

“I want to see podiums at the Ironman 70.3 regional championships,” he says. “After that, we’ll see… There are lots of big races to consider.”

Beals recently placed seventh at Ironman 70.3 Monterrey.

In case you missed it, here is part one where Beals takes us through an afternoon of training in his hometown of Fergus, Ontario.
