Tyler Mislawchuk and Joanna Brown won the elite titles, but there was no shortage of other exciting stories to come out of the nation’s capital triathlon weekend. Here’s a round-up of some of favourite social media posts from the weekend:

Proud of my effort out there today @ottawainternationaltriathlon National Championships A final finishing 16th overall and 10th Canadian! Definitely the most competitive #ITU race I have ever done! I was happy with the #swim, coming out with the chase pack. I worked very hard on the #bike and we made up about 20 seconds. My legs never recovered from that effort and I didn't run too well, but that's no surprise given the tough bike ride. It was fun to race with @loeweng like last year at Nationals. Today he had a good run and it took all I had to pass him! Next up is #ironman703monttremblant next weekend! . ?@montana_fs . . . . . . #triathlon #raceday #hardrace #allout #nationals #triott #ottawatriathlon #openwaterswimming #openwaterswim #cycling #running #imtired
