Rachel Hannah wins XC Nationals, Findlay takes 13th

Screen Shot 2014-12-01 at 11.22.58 AMTMC nutrition contributor and Toronto-based runner Rachel Hannah rocked her way to the front of a stacked field, crisp conditions and the muddy, difficult course at Jericho Beach Park in Vancouver this weekend to win her first Canadian Cross Country title. Hannah blasted through the 8 km course in 28:50. She was followed by Vancouver’s Rachel Cliff in 29:08 and marathoner Natasha Wodack in 29:17 in third. Paula Findlay continued to prove the injuries that hampered her training and racing over the last two years are nowhere to be seen. Findlay’s running comeback saw her finish 13th in 30:34.

In the men’s race, Vancouver’s own Chris Winter out-kicked finally Saskatchewan’s Kelly Wiebe and Matt Johnson over the final 600 m to claim his first national title.
