Interview: Daniela Ryf before Ironman 70.3 Dubai

We’re heading into a big weekend of racing with Ironman 70.3 Panama, Ironman 70.3 Geelong and the first race of the Triple Crown series, Ironman 70.3 Dubai. Daniela Ryf, world champion and winner of the inaugural Triple Crown last year, is set to toe the line on Saturday. She hasn’t had much time off but loves the Triple Crown series and wants to race as a way to express gratitude to His Highness Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad for supporting the sport. “I’ve been back in training for three weeks,” she says. “Things have gone well, but I have no expectations as the preparation was full with other commitments, like school.”

In this interview with Bob Babbitt, Ryf talks about her fantastic 2015 season, life outside of triathlon and how her racing goals for this year are slightly different.
