First look: Bolle One and 6th Sense Sunglasses

Bolle One

Arriving in stores next month, the Bolle One Premium helmet offers one-stop shopping for triathletes thanks to the removable aero shields that allow it to double as an aero or fully vented helmet depending on your needs.

The folks from Bolle gave us a preview of some of the new products we can expect in the Bolle and Serengeti lines this spring on Monday, highlighted by the new “One” helmet that is sure to be a hit with triathletes this race season.

Combining the latest technology, aerodynamics and safety, the One helmet will get you through virtually any triathlon regardless of the conditions. There are two versions of the One – the Premium ($229) comes with removable aero panels, while the Standard ($179) doesn’t, leaving it’s 31 vents open. Both come with a LED light on that can be clipped onto the back with up to 100 hours of battery life thanks to two small watch batteries. Weighing in at just 226 g, the One is very light and comes with a “click-to-fit” harness system so you can dial in the optimal fit.

A great feature with the One is the QR code on the side of the helmet that allows you to record safety information. So, if you’re ever in an accident and can’t communicate, people need only scan the barcode with their cel phone to hear a message of up to two minutes.

The One comes with a removable polar fleece liner for really cold days outside, along with a “sunglass garage” that’s a perfect spot to leave your sunglasses if you want to take them off and not have to stuff them into a pocket. The Bolle One

Bolle 6th sense

The perfect pair of glasses to fit into the garage is the 6th Sense ($259 to $309) which uses a Trivex lens that provides visual performance similar to what you’d get with a glass lens, but in a much lighter and shatterproof package. The 6th Sense glasses are super light, offer lots of protection thanks to the wrapped style and aero wings, and there are 11 different frame and lens options to choose from. You can totally dial in the fit, too – the 6th Sense is available in two different sizes and comes with an adjustable nosepiece and temples.
