During the hot summer months it’s sometimes hard to get yourself out the door for a run as the temperatures start to climb. You’ll be a lot more comfortable, though, if you invest in some new clothes to get you through our hottest training times.

There’s never been a better time to be looking, either, as manufacturers constantly try to out-do each other with new innovations. The result? A whole pile of incredible running clothes that are extremely comfortable, lightweight and, well, even stylish. Here’s a look at what you’ll find in Canadian stores this season.

Guys who are not big fans of short run shorts will love these because they cover the entire upper leg region. Despite the length, they are not restrictive at all due to the Micron Light fabric which is very light, flexible, soft and has an anti-static finish. This means it resists bunching and riding up in the crotch area. Cooling is enhanced with the Aerator Mesh panels, there are front, rear and side reflective areas.
