VIDEO: Jeff Symonds talks Challenge Penticton, staying positive through adversity, and defending his title this weekend

Penticton’s own Jeff Symonds hasn’t been shy about expressing his excitement for this weekend’s Canadian Multisport Championships and more importantly, next year’s inaugural ITU Multisport World Championships taking place in his hometown. The multi-time long course champion will be racing two events this weekend, but it’s taken a little more than usual for him to get race-day ready. Earlier in the year he suffered an injury that took him out of training and racing for a substantial length of time, but the ever positive Canadian pro explains how he dealt with it and plans to make the most out of the rest of the season. He also gives advice for first-timers racing this weekend and shares insight into the great triathlon culture in Penticton.
