Triathlon super couple Mirinda Carfrae and Tim O’Donnell have announced they are expecting their first child later this year, on August 10th.

Australian Carfrae is one of the most well-known faces of Ironman triathlon, with multiple world titles to her name and several back to back Ironman World Championship podiums. American O’Donnell is best known for achieving podium finishes at the Ironman World Championship. The two compete on the Ironman and 70.3 circuits predominately in North America, and are based out of Boulder, Colorado.

“Setting up for a different kind of transition,” the two both captioned their social media posts, published earlier today.

Several other couples in triathlon are expecting babies this year. Among the athletes taking time off of competing this year to grow their families are Gwen Jorgensen, Nicola Spirig, Liz Blatchford and Beth Gerdes.
