VIDEO: In conversation with Jen Annett at Challenge Penticton

Penticton’s own Jen Annett has been enjoying a podium-filled 2016 race season with success in major races across Canada’s west coast including Ironman 70.3 Victoria, Great White North Triathlon and Peach Classic Triathlon. Annett is excited to be racing at Canadian Multisport Championships this weekend with a hometown advantage and has played an important role in this weekend’s events as an ambassador for the festival. Along with Jeff Symonds, she’s had a busy weekend of welcoming triathletes to Penticton and answering questions about Sunday’s race.

“It’s so special racing in your hometown,” she tells TMC. “There’s really nothing like it.”

Annett sat down with us to talk about her success so far this year, life as a pro triathlete in Penticton, what she hopes to accomplish in her pro career next and gives tips for those racing the unique long course distance this year and at next year’s ITU Multisport World Championships.
