Rota and Rohrback win Ironman Wales

France’s Sylvain Rota swam 48:12, cycled to a race best 5:04:16, and finished with a 2:52:42 marathon to take the overall win at Ironman Wales in 8:52:43.
Switzerland’s Regula Rohrbach swam 51:29, then grabbed a stranglehold on the women’s race with a 5:34:35 ride (roughly twenty minutes faster than the next fastest woman), and she ran 3:09:48 to win with a time of 9:45:09 - the only woman to go sub ten hours.
