Wisconsin Fireman wants to complete 27 Ironman races this year

Madison, Wisconsin’s Robert Verhelst finished Ironman Wisconsin in 2011 with his full 50 pounds of firefighter’s gear (pictured above).
The current Guinness World Record for most Ironman distance races completed in one year is 20, Verhelst plans to smash that record by finishing 27 races.
