Glenn Van Zeumeren lost his courageous battle

He is survived by his wife and three children.

A few weeks ago we reported on Glenn Van Zeumeren’s battle with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome). Unfortunately, it is with great regret that we report that Glenn lost his battle with the disease a few days ago.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Michelle, and their three children, Ryan, Sierra, and Collette.

Glenn’s wife posted this on www.racingtoregister.ca/ on Saturday November 12th.

Dear family and friends,

It is with deep sadness that we share that Glenn passed away and ran across the finish line into the arms of Jesus. The children and I were by his side as he slipped into glory at 6:45 pm. We were not planning to go today but he had been asking for us. The nurse told us that his condition had deteriorated a lot since last night.

He had a chance to say good bye yet today to some more friends..and then after a while he wanted to make sure the kids were in the room. He said good bye to each one of us, to the nurses and thanked them for the care, he said “let me go” and we told him we loved him and then he said “shout it from the mountain top” and then he breathed his last breaths.

We are so thankful that we were there with him today. He is truly loved and will be deeply missed.

We will be discussing funeral arrangements tomorrow and will send an update to everyone in a few days with the details.
Thank you, thank you for sharing with us in this journey!!! Thank you for the prayers and please continue on with them!!

Love to all,

Michelle
