Ironman goes to Melbourne
Race day is March 25, 2012, and entries open August 28.
The beautiful and sports hungry city of Melbourne, will get Australia’s third Ironman race.
Ironman Melbourne will take place on Sunday March 25, 2012. The race will offer 75 Kona age group qualifying slots, a $100 00o professional prize purse, and will serve as the Asia-Pacific Championship.
Registration opens on Sunday August 28 at 1 pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time).

The course features a 3.8-kilometre swim in Frankston; a 180-kilometre bike ride on the EastLink Tollway; and a 42.2-kilometre run along Port Philip Bay towards the finish at the St Kilda Baths.
